COOPER - MINIATURE RED POODLE
Approximately 2 years ago I started my journey of finding a playmate for my two young children. At that time 11 years old and 2 years old. I knew this new addition would have to be perfect in order to withstand the “demands” of my rambunctious children and it was also important to me to have a puppy that did not shed.
BOY DID I HIT THE JACKPOT. Thanks to Karolyn and John David we found and brought home our “Third Child” in December of 2014, a male miniature red poodle. We named him Cooper!
From day 1 he was nothing short of perfect! He adapted to our busy lifestyle and crate trained within the first 2 months of being home. He learned all basic commands when worked with for 1 afternoon! No joke! He learned to sit, shake, roll-over, and play dead basically within hours. Even my two year old could give him commands which he would follow. Over the years this puppy has not only became part of our every day life he has become something our whole family cherishes. No one comes over without speaking of how well-mannered he is and what a joy he is to have around. My now 4 year old carries him more than he walks and he is completely fine with that. We recently traveled to Panama City Beach for a family vacation and for the first time our buddy got to go! And believe me! He knew he was going! He sat in the cab of the truck the entire time we loaded the vehicle because he was not going to let his family go without him! One of the kids’ favorite past times is to play hide and seek with him. We cover his eyes while they hide outside and let him go and he SEARCHES until he finds “his kids.” There is no love like the love we have for our buddy.
